All About Me

Hi :-) I'm Tanya.

I've always loved crafting, but It's hard to believe that until mid 2012 I hadn't sewn a button. 

I'm a mum to two cute and crazy girls and partner to a super supportive man. I also have a 12 year old fur-boy love who is a massive part of my life.

When my first daughter was born I discovered the beautiful world of handmade and buying it for her became somewhat of an obsession; a bank account draining obsession. 

When my nana passed, I got given her old sewing machine. I actually had to get my partner to show me how to thread it!! He still jokes that he taught me everything I know... The first thing I ever made was a pretty pillowcase for my new baby girls cot.

One day, I saw a beginner pattern tester call from a page I followed on Facebook called Tadah Patterns long story short, I applied, was accepted, I tested the Butterfly Tea Dress and so began my love affair with Tadah Patterns.

I am totally obsessed with anything Cotton + Steel. I am a huge believer in kids learning through play and as such my clothing motto is 'Made for Play' My style, though ever evolving, it always centred around kids being able to play comfortably and easily in my clothing.

Over the last couple of years I've learned allot. YouTube has become my BFF, I love buying pdf patterns, I love buying fabric, I love testing patterns but mostly I love putting my own spin on them.
